Say it: MEGA AG-ron

Mega Aggron is Aggron’s pure Steel Mega form in Pokémon GO (it loses Rock typing). It uses Candy plus Mega Aggron Energy and is a bulky Steel mega for raid lobbies (same-type Steel boost). Weak to Fighting, Fire, and Ground. Only one Mega or Primal can be active at a time.

Pokédex notes

Mega Aggron is a Mega Steel / Rock form in GO. Mega forms boost same-type allies in raids; lead with Mega when the lobby needs that type.

Where in GO: Mega Raids, Mega Energy, and high-tier events

Invest tip: Farm Mega Energy from Mega Aggron raids and events. Prefer Metal Sound or Iron Tail + Heavy Slam for Steel STAB while Mega (Meteor Beam loses Rock STAB). Keep a non-Shadow for Mega — Shadows cannot Mega Evolve.

Type matchups

  • Steel moves hit Ice, Rock, and Fairy hard.

When Mega Aggron is your opponent, Fire, Fighting, Ground hits hard.
