Amaura

Say it: AMAU-ra

Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand

Amaura is the Tundra Pokémon — Rock and Ice, the baby stage before Aurorus. In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Aurorus — not a finished raid attacker. Rock/Ice hits Fire, Flying, Bug, and Ground well, but Fighting, Steel, Water, Grass, and Rock punish it. Catch Amaura from the wild, eggs, or events, then evolve.

Say it: AMAU-ra

Amaura (#698) is a Rock / Ice Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the pre-evolution of Aurorus. Trainers almost never power Amaura for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Aurorus (Weather Ball Ice / Meteor Beam kits). Against Amaura, lead with Fighting, Steel, Water, Grass, or Rock. Pokédex notes

Amaura is a Rock / Ice-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0698. Use the Rock/Ice type chart below before powering up — metas shift every season.

Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Amaura. Keep high-IV copies for Aurorus. Shadow Amaura is the same — evolve toward Shadow Aurorus if that is the goal.
