Eevee

Say it: EE-vee

Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand

Eevee is the Evolution Pokémon — Normal before the Eeveelutions (Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Sylveon). In Pokémon GO it is candy and an evolution puzzle — not a finished raid attacker. Normal only hits Normal hard and loses to Fighting. Catch Eevee from the wild, eggs, Community Day, or events, then evolve with the right method/name/buddy rules for each form.

Say it: EE-vee

Eevee (#133) is a Normal Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the shared pre-evolution of eight Eeveelutions. Trainers almost never power Eevee for raids; the value is candy, XL candy, and IVs for the evolution you want. Against Eevee, lead with Fighting. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.

Pokédex notes

Eevee is the evolution hub — nickname tricks, buddy methods, and day/night rules gate each Eeveelution. Never mass-transfer; family trades often revolve around extra Eevees.

Where in GO: Common wild spawns, events, research breakthroughs

Fun fact: One nickname trick per Eeveelution form — plan evolutions with the Community Day checklist.

Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Eevee. Tag high-IV or lucky copies for the Eeveelution you need. Last Resort from Eevee Community Day belongs on the evolved forms. Shadow Eevee is the same — evolve toward the Shadow Eeveelution you want.
