Stantler

Say it: STA-ntl-er

Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand

Stantler is the Big Horn Pokémon — Normal before Wyrdeer (Hisuian). In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Wyrdeer — not a finished raid attacker by itself. Normal only hits Normal hard; Fighting hits Normal hard. Catch Stantler from the wild, eggs, or events, then evolve with a Mossy Lure for Wyrdeer.

Say it: STA-ntl-er

Stantler (#234) is a Normal Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the pre-evolution of Wyrdeer. Trainers almost never power Stantler for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Wyrdeer. Against Stantler, lead with Fighting. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.

Pokédex notes

Stantler is a Normal-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0234. Normal types need coverage moves — check our moveset guide before spending TMs.

Where in GO: Wild spawns, eggs, Field Research, and seasonal events

Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Stantler unless you are building Wyrdeer. Keep high-IV copies for Wyrdeer evolution. Shadow Stantler is the same — evolve toward Shadow Wyrdeer after Frustration removal.
