Shellos
Say it: SHE-llo-s
Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand
Shellos is the Sea Slug Pokémon — Water before Gastrodon. East Sea and West Sea are cosmetic in Pokémon GO. In GO it is usually candy on the way to Gastrodon — not a finished raid attacker. Water helps against Fire, Ground, and Rock; Grass hits Water hard. Catch Shellos from the wild, eggs, or events, then evolve.
Say it: SHE-llo-s
Shellos (#422) is a Water Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the baby stage of Gastrodon. Trainers almost never power Shellos for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Gastrodon. Against Shellos, lead with Grass. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.

Pokédex notes
Shellos is a Water-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0422. Use the Water type chart below before powering up — metas shift every season.
Where in GO: Wild spawns, eggs, Field Research, and seasonal events
Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Shellos. Keep high-IV copies for Gastrodon. Shadow Shellos is the same — evolve toward Shadow Gastrodon after Frustration removal.
