Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand

Scyther is the Mantis Pokémon — Bug and Flying. In Pokémon GO it is a Bug/Flying attacker with Fury Cutter + X-Scissor / Night Slash / Aerial Ace. Bug helps against Grass, Psychic, and Dark; Flying helps against Grass, Fighting, and Bug. Rock hits it for 4×; Fire and Electric also punish it. Evolve with a Metal Coat into Scizor (or use a Black Augurite for Kleavor). Catch Scyther from the wild, eggs, raids, or events.
