Porygon2

Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand

Porygon2 is the Virtual Pokémon — Normal middle stage between Porygon and Porygon-Z. In Pokémon GO it is a bulky Normal attacker and Great League staple with Lock-On + Tri Attack. Normal only hits Normal hard and loses to Fighting. Evolve Porygon with an Up-Grade, then push to Porygon-Z with a Dubious Disc. Tri Attack from Porygon Community Day is essential.

Pokédex notes

Porygon2 is a Normal-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0233. Normal types need coverage moves — check our moveset guide before spending TMs.

Where in GO: Wild spawns, eggs, Field Research, and seasonal events

Invest tip: Priority Community Day move: Tri Attack (Elite Charged TM if you missed Porygon CD). Lock-On + Tri Attack is the Great League kit. Shadow Porygon2 is usable after Frustration removal; evolve to Porygon-Z for glass-cannon Normal DPS.
