Meltan
Say it: MEL-tan
Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand
Meltan is the Hex Nut Pokémon — Steel Mythical before Melmetal. In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Melmetal — not a finished raid attacker. Steel helps against Fairy, Ice, and Rock; Fire, Fighting, and Ground hit Steel hard. Catch Meltan from Mystery Box / special research, then evolve with a lot of candy. Double Iron Bash belongs on Melmetal.
Say it: MEL-tan
Meltan (#808) is a Steel Mythical Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the baby stage of Melmetal. Trainers almost never power Meltan for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Melmetal. Against Meltan, lead with Fire, Fighting, or Ground. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.
