Marshtomp
Say it: MARSH-tomp
Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand
Marshtomp is the Mud Fish Pokémon — Water and Ground middle stage between Mudkip and Swampert. In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Swampert — not a finished raid attacker. Water/Ground hits Fire, Electric, Rock, and Steel well; Grass hits it for 4×. Evolve Mudkip up the line. Hydro Cannon from Mudkip Community Day belongs on Swampert.
Say it: MARSH-tomp
Marshtomp (#259) is a Water / Ground Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the middle evolution of Mudkip. Trainers almost never power Marshtomp for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Swampert (and Mega Swampert). Against Marshtomp, lead with Grass (best). Pokédex notes
Marshtomp is a Water / Ground-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0259. Water/Ground pairs resist Electric — strong in open Ultra League metas.
Where in GO: Wild spawns, eggs, Field Research, and seasonal events
Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Marshtomp. Keep high-IV copies for Swampert. Shadow Marshtomp is the same — evolve toward Shadow Swampert.
