Magmar is the Spitfire Pokémon — Fire middle stage between Magby and Magmortar. In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Magmortar — not a finished raid attacker (though it can still burn). Fire helps against Grass, Bug, Ice, and Steel; Water, Ground, and Rock hit Fire hard. Evolve Magby, then push to Magmortar with a Sinnoh Stone.
