Kubfu

Say it: KU-bfu

Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand

Kubfu is the Wushu Pokémon — Fighting Legendary before Urshifu (Single Strike or Rapid Strike). In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Urshifu — not a finished raid attacker by itself. Fighting helps against Normal, Rock, Steel, Ice, and Dark; Fairy, Flying, and Psychic hit Fighting hard. Catch from Legendary research or special events, then evolve with the Tower of Waters / Darkness path (confirm live).

Say it: KU-bfu

Kubfu (#891) is a Fighting Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the pre-evolution of Urshifu. Trainers almost never power Kubfu for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Urshifu. Against Kubfu, lead with Fairy, Flying, or Psychic. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.

Pokédex notes

Kubfu is a Fighting-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0891. Legendaries shine in Master League and 5-star raids when IVs and moves align.

Where in GO: Legendary raids, research breakthroughs, and GO Tour events

Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Kubfu. Keep high-IV copies for Urshifu. Shadow Kubfu (if available) is the same — evolve toward Shadow Urshifu after Frustration removal.
