Hoppip

Say it: HO-ppi-p

Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand

Hoppip is the Cottonweed Pokémon — Grass and Flying before Skiploom and Jumpluff. In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Jumpluff — not a finished raid attacker. Grass/Flying hits Water, Ground, and Fighting well; Ice hits it for 4×, and Fire, Poison, Flying, and Rock punish it. Catch Hoppip from the wild, eggs, or events, then evolve. Fairy Wind from Hoppip Community Day belongs on Jumpluff.

Say it: HO-ppi-p

Hoppip (#187) is a Grass / Flying Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the baby stage of Jumpluff. Trainers almost never power Hoppip for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Skiploom/Jumpluff (and Fairy Wind). Against Hoppip, lead with Ice (best), or Fire, Poison, Flying, or Rock. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.
