Goomy

Say it: GOO-my

Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand

Goomy is the Soft Tissue Pokémon — Dragon before Sliggoo and Goodra (and Hisuian Goodra). In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Goodra — not a finished raid attacker. Dragon helps against other Dragons; Ice, Dragon, and Fairy hit Dragon hard. Catch Goomy from the wild, eggs, or events, then evolve.

Say it: GOO-my

Goomy (#704) is a Dragon Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the baby stage of Goodra. Trainers almost never power Goomy for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Sliggoo/Goodra. Against Goomy, lead with Ice, Dragon, or Fairy. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.

Pokédex notes

Goomy is a Dragon-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0704. Dragon attackers often anchor Master League and high-tier raid teams.

Where in GO: Wild spawns, eggs, Field Research, and seasonal events

Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Goomy. Keep high-IV copies for Goodra. Shadow Goomy is the same — evolve toward Shadow Goodra.
