Gloom
Say it: GLOO-m
Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand
Gloom is the Weed Pokémon — Grass and Poison middle stage between Oddish and Vileplume or Bellossom. In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Vileplume/Bellossom — not a finished raid attacker. Grass/Poison hits Water, Ground, Rock, and Fairy well; Fire, Ice, Flying, and Psychic punish it. Evolve Oddish up the line. Frenzy Plant belongs on Vileplume when available from CD history.
Say it: GLOO-m
Gloom (#044) is a Grass / Poison Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the middle evolution of Oddish. Trainers almost never power Gloom for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Vileplume or Bellossom. Against Gloom, lead with Fire, Ice, Flying, or Psychic. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.

Pokédex notes
Gloom is a Grass / Poison-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0044. Grass picks spike during Sunny weather and certain Community Days.
Where in GO: Wild spawns, eggs, Field Research, and seasonal events
Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Gloom. Keep high-IV copies for Vileplume or Bellossom. Shadow Gloom is the same — evolve toward the Shadow final form you want.
