Gastly
Say it: GAST-lee
Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand
Gastly is the Gas Pokémon — Ghost and Poison before Haunter and Gengar. In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Gengar — not a finished raid attacker. Ghost/Poison hits Psychic, Ghost, and Fairy well; Ground, Psychic, Ghost, and Dark punish it. Catch Gastly from the wild, eggs, Community Day, or Rocket, then evolve. Shadow Punch from Gastly Community Day belongs on Gengar.
Say it: GAST-lee
Gastly (#092) is a Ghost / Poison Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the baby stage of Gengar. Trainers almost never power Gastly for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Haunter/Gengar (and Shadow Punch / Mega Gengar). Against Gastly, lead with Ground, Psychic, Ghost, or Dark. Pokédex notes
Gastly is a Ghost / Poison-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0092. Ghost attackers punish Psychic and Ghost raids; watch Fighting weaknesses in PvP.
Where in GO: Wild spawns, eggs, Field Research, and seasonal events
Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Gastly. Keep high-IV or Shadow copies tagged for Gengar. Save Elite TMs for Gengar’s Shadow Punch. Shadow Gastly is the same — evolve toward Shadow Gengar.
