Diglett
Say it: DIG-let
Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand
Diglett is the Mole Pokémon — Ground before Dugtrio (Alolan Diglett is Ground/Steel). In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Dugtrio — not a finished raid attacker. Ground helps against Fire, Electric, Poison, Rock, and Steel; Water, Grass, and Ice hit Ground hard. Catch Diglett from the wild, eggs, or events, then evolve. Mud Bomb from Diglett Community Day belongs on Dugtrio.
Say it: DIG-let
Diglett (#050) is a Ground Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the pre-evolution of Dugtrio. Trainers almost never power Diglett for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Dugtrio (and Mud Bomb). Against Diglett, lead with Water, Grass, or Ice. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.

Pokédex notes
Diglett is a Ground-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0050. Use the Ground type chart below before powering up — metas shift every season.
Where in GO: Wild spawns, eggs, Field Research, and seasonal events
Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Diglett. Keep high-IV copies for Dugtrio. Shadow Diglett is the same — evolve toward Shadow Dugtrio.
