Deino
Say it: DY-no
Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand
Deino is the Irate Pokémon — Dark and Dragon before Zweilous and Hydreigon. In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Hydreigon — not a finished raid attacker. Dark/Dragon hits Ghost and other Dragons well; Fairy hits it for 4×, and Fighting, Bug, Ice, and Dragon punish it. Catch Deino from the wild, eggs, raids, or events, then evolve. Brutal Swing from Deino Community Day belongs on Hydreigon.
Say it: DY-no
Deino (#633) is a Dark / Dragon Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the baby stage of Hydreigon. Trainers almost never power Deino for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Zweilous/Hydreigon (and Brutal Swing). Against Deino, lead with Fairy (best), or Fighting, Bug, Ice, or Dragon. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.

Pokédex notes
Deino is a Dark / Dragon-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0633. Dragon attackers often anchor Master League and high-tier raid teams.
Where in GO: Wild spawns, eggs, Field Research, and seasonal events
Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Deino. Keep high-IV or Shadow copies tagged for Hydreigon. Save Elite TMs for Hydreigon’s Brutal Swing. Shadow Deino is the same — evolve toward Shadow Hydreigon.
