Archen

Say it: ARCH-en

Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand

Archen is the First Bird Pokémon — Rock and Flying, the baby stage before Archeops. In Pokémon GO it is usually candy on the way to Archeops — not a finished raid attacker. Rock/Flying hits Fire, Ice, Bug, and Grass well in spots, but Water, Electric, Ice, Rock, and Steel punish it. Catch Archen from the wild, eggs, or events, then evolve.

Say it: ARCH-en

Archen (#566) is a Rock / Flying Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the pre-evolution of Archeops. Trainers almost never power Archen for raids; the value is candy and IVs for Archeops. Against Archen, lead with Water, Electric, Ice, Rock, or Steel. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.

Pokédex notes

Archen is a Rock / Flying-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0566. Use the Rock/Flying type chart below before powering up — metas shift every season.

Where in GO: Wild spawns, eggs, Field Research, and seasonal events

Invest tip: Do not sink Stardust into Archen. Keep high-IV copies for Archeops. Shadow Archen is the same — evolve toward Shadow Archeops if that is the goal.

  • Flying moves hit Grass, Fighting, and Bug hard.
