Accelgor
Say it: ACC-elg-or
Kids summary (simpler)Tap to expand
Accelgor is the Shell Out Pokémon — a speedy Bug type from Shelmet (trade evolve with Karrablast). In Pokémon GO, Bug moves help against Grass, Psychic, and Dark foes, but Fire, Flying, and Rock hit Bug hard. Catch Shelmet/Accelgor from the wild, eggs, or events, then trade-evolve if you still need the form.
Say it: ACC-elg-or
Accelgor (#617) is a Bug Pokémon in Pokémon GO — the final form of the Unova Shelmet line (trade evolution). Trainers use it as a niche Bug attacker and occasional Great League spice with Infestation / Acid Spray utility. It is not a top-tier raid Bug compared to modern legendaries and Shadows. Against Accelgor, lead with Fire, Flying, or Rock. Stats, type chart, moves, and counter picks below use our Game Master snapshot.

Pokédex notes
Accelgor is a Bug-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. National Dex #0617. Use the Bug type chart below before powering up — metas shift every season.
Where in GO: Wild spawns, eggs, Field Research, and seasonal events
Invest tip: Power up only if you need a cheap Bug attacker or a PvP specialty. Infestation + Acid Spray is the usual PvP kit; Bug Buzz / Signal Beam for Bug damage. Water Shuriken is a fun fast option when you want Water coverage. Shadow Accelgor is the DPS-leaning copy — remove Frustration before investing.
